ALF Therapy is a still-unfamiliar approach to orthodontics
that looks even at the body’s senses
and applies light force (Advanced Light Force)
suited to the conditions in the mouth where the force lands.
Because it reads the body too, from before treatment through the time you wear the appliance,
the consultation is made up of a questionnaire, imaging, analysis and records.
So Dr. Oh prepares the information you need, one piece at a time,
and with those who understand it and work with us,
we build this system together within treatment.
Somatic Dentistry is a perspective within dentistry that finds
the body’s hidden connections by seeing the teeth and mouth
as part of the body and following their sensation and movement.
It makes clear which of the connections it finds are established by anatomy,
which are observed in human studies and which are still hypotheses.
Between the body and the mouth, there are many places that seem connected
but where the path between them is still unmapped.
From this perspective, OHALF Dental Clinic looks at chewing function
and also listens closely to what you feel with your own teeth, and how,
and brings it into your care.
It is the same force, so why does each person feel it differently?
Starting from this question, Dr. Oh began to look for that path and published
a hypothesis paper on the DentoNeural Axis (DNA)
(Aging Brain, 2026).
We read the pre-visit questionnaire you sent us in advance
and record your structure and posture
with 3D CT, X-rays and digital posture analysis.
A CT scan is taken as standard before and after treatment,
so we can compare together what has changed.
Once the records are organized in your chart,
Dr. Oh brings them together and explains them as one body.

Where the tongue rests, the way you breathe, how you swallow, how you stand.
All of these go on every day, right beside the teeth and jaws.
ALF Therapy looks at them together as part of orthodontic treatment.
In the questionnaire and records from the first consultation,
we look at where the tongue rests, whether you breathe through the nose or the mouth,
how the tongue and lips move when you swallow
and how you stand.
While you wear the appliance, we look at these again
and work out with patients and their parents or guardians what can be kept up at home.
Because habits the body has learned do not change overnight,
and so that you can notice them yourself and care for your body,
we do not rush.
